Before I screw up a birthday for some card, could someone differentiate between Fred Thurier and Alfred Thurier. Seems there is a difference by the teams they played for which isn't many. I just want to be sure.

Seem to be the same person. Granby, Quebec Born Jan 11, 1916 Died 20 Nov 1999 ------------------------------- Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

Maybe. The DB shows "Fred" playing for the Cleveland Barons. If you look up the other Fred/Alfred it doesnt have him playing for the Barons, thus the confusion.

They are the same person. Here's his teams:

1937-42           Springfield Indians
1940-41           New York Americans
1941-42           Brooklyn Americans
1942-44           Buffalo Bisons
1944-45           New York Rangers
1945-52           Cleveland Barons

The confusion is his Bee Hive card has a signature facsimile of "Alfred Thurier", but he went by Fred.
