Actually, I shall not return. The all tongue in cheek competition to stay in the top 100 baseball card collections helped lead me to expand my horizons and find new ways to enjoy the hobby, even get with the times by not just buying regular Topps sets. But the addition of 900 cards in two weeks still just has me watching the taillights of larger collections fade into the distance. Whatever, the site has helped keep the hobby fresh for me, so we'll done everyone.

Ironic that this post just came back up, as I am right in the middle of a book about Douglas MacArthur's re-invasion of the Philippines. Of course, "I Shall Return" was the motto of the reinvasion and a mantra the natives lived under during Japanese occupation from 1942-45. I love history and am always reading something related.

More on the original topic, something I used to like to check was the stats to see which people had the most cards posted to the database. Not members, but subjects of the cards. I have not looked in a while. I know that by posting my Elton Brand collection he had moved into 5th or 6th for basketball. Not sure if he is still in the top 10. I know he won't be forever because despite being my favorite player he does not rank in my personal collection top 10...he simply doesn't have as many cards produced as others.

Oh wow.  Even with my recent "hiatus" from the forums, I'm #1 in forum posts.  Not my proudest accomplishment...
