I have some cards for a specific team that I want to give away (or if I was interested in trading with someone for the specific) is there a way to locate collectors of this specific team without listing it on the front page blog and watching it possibly disappear by days end when it gets bumped off. Would it be possible to have members list maybe 1 or 2 teams by sport and then searching them out by team name? Or is this a waste of admin's time?

I say its not a bad idea, bit more info in our bio areas maybe. I know it would be nice to list, say, my top three teams in hockey, and favorite player position, as in I collect goalie cards. Also that I collect Oiler rookies and Bill Ranford. Something that would be helpful to the members for sure. Not sure how it would look or be done but it would be pretty cool I think.

You collect Bill Ranford? There's a shocker!

Yes, it'd be nice to identify what teams, players we collect. And having that information searchable by other members. In the meantime this might help: goes to that team's page, click on Collection Summary, under Reports click on Members with cards from this team on their Wantlist. Good chance the members with the larger numbers in parenthesis collect that team.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

The ability to add favorite teams and players is already there. Always has been. Click my name and look at the right side of the screen, Under my friends, you will see my favorites. You can add your own favorites by clicking the star that shows up on the overview screen for every team, player, or set. I've been using this feature as long as I can remember But I don't think it is searchable. That's probably something that Admin could add without too much difficulty, since the framework for it already exists.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

It would be nice to have a "Favorites" link on each team page that will show the list of members who marked the team as their favorite team. I haven't quite understood the point of the Favorites tag if you can only find someone's favorite teams (and/or athletes) on their Profile page.
Just saw C2C's reply while I was typing. That helps, but it would be nice if it was faster. Plus, I haven't added hardly any cards to my wantlists yet, so no one would find me that way. That's part of why I made my signature the way I did.

Yes, I dont want to have to click on members individually and see what their favorites are. I want to click on Baltimore Colts or Montreal Expos and see which members have them listed as a favorite. And to take it further, if I have some Don Beebe cards, i would like to click on him to see who has him as a favorite.

It's funny that you mention Don Beebe! I still remember the disastrous SB play where he celebrated before the end-zone and got stripped before the goalline. He was a WR for the Buffalo Bills then. BUT the Carolina Panthers took him in the expansion draft in early 1995. If you have any cards of him in a Panthers uniform, I want them. I am always looking for Panthers cards that I don't have yet. That didn't start this year with their fantastic run into SB 50. I have been a fan since the beginning, which started in my senior year of high school. For example, my winter coat is a Panthers Reebok coat that I bought in 2003!!! That was a year before their 1st SB appearance in SB38! I still wear it when I need a coat here in NC and it mostly looks like it did when I bought it. Any time you have Panthers cards to trade/sell, I should be the one you go to first now. ;-)
