Ok, the recent thread on when we started collecting inspired me. Do you have a favorite card or cards? I'll confess that I don't love all 35,000 of my cards equally. I can't pick one favorite. But here are a few:
1962 Topps Lou Brock rookie. My favorite player for years. When I bought it, I had never spent that much on a piece of cardboard.
1956 Topps Jackie Robinson. My only Robinson (that's not a throwback of some sort) And 1956. 'Nuff said.
1953 Topps Satchel Paige. My only Paige. And 1953. 'Nuff said.
1911 T206 Tinkers, Evers, Chance, and Merkle. Great story. Cubs. And 100 bloody years old.
Those are my big seven, I think.
You?

V3, I would love to own that Brock RC card!!!
Here are my Top-5 and why they are there.
#1 - NASCAR - 2006 Press Pass Eclipse Teammates Autographs Jeff Gordon/Jimmie Johnson SN25 (My first Gordon AU and the most I have EVER paid for a single card - by far! It is also the most valuable card in my entire collection.)
#2 - MLB - 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith Rookie Card (It took me 25 years to finally add this one to my Ozzie PC and I was able to get it in a trade.)
#3 - MLB - 2009 SP Legendary Cuts - Classic Signatures SN25 - Ozzie Smith (My first Ozzie AU card.)
#4 - NASCAR - 2008 Wheels American Thunder Trackside Treasury Autographs Gold SN25 - Jimmie Johnson (My favorite JJ AU card since the day I got it, until card #1 showed up.)
#5 - NFL - 2000 Upper Deck Ultimate Victory #146 Tom Brady RC SN2000 (I pulled this card from a pack my Grandma gave me for Christmas that year. It had a BV of $3 then and I held it b/c my #3 NFL team is the Patriots. That card has a BV of $100 today.)

Now I covet a 1964 AL Bombers card...
I forgot to include my 1973 Topps Roberto Clemente, pulled from a pack shortly after I read a book called, World Series Classics, in which he was one of the stars. Exactly 3000 hits. Sad, but cool to see on the back of the card

Wow. Tough. Besides loving all my NY Mets, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Sabres, Syracuse alumni. Off the top of my head...
I guess first is my most valuable card, a Gem Mint 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan.
Then Mr. Sabre's rookie, 1970-71 Topps Gilbert Perreault. My two favorite Mets; 1968 Topps Seaver and 1970 Topps Nolan Ryan. My favorite football player of all time, Jim Otto, 1969 Topps, not his rookie card but his best looking card.
Then there's two cards that survived my childhood. They hold a special place in my heart, I've had them since I was 3-years old. 1963 Topps Astronauts John Glenn and 1963 Post Cereal Woody Held. Some of my favorite (non-Met) players; 1968 Topps Bench and Rose. And any of my Yaz cards.
I also cherish my old and scarce cards. 1933 Goudey, 1935 National Chicle, 1948 Leaf (Spahn rookie), 1948 Knockout Max Baer, 1950 Topps Feltback (they're so tiny...lol)
And finally, another scarcity, 1962 Topps Baseball Bucks

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

As another mentioned, mine is also a 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith. That was also the most I ever paid for a card. It was around 1986. I had never even seen one. Bought the first one I ever saw for sale at a show. Couldn't believe I had just spent FOUR DOLLARS on a baseball card!
i don't still own very many of my favorites after selling (most of) my collection in 2005.
-------------------------------
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
