I have found that all the major sports have tags for the hall of fame and racing. Have not found the tag for misc sports? Is it possible to add this feature for misc player in the sets? If so what constitutes a valid Hall of Fame? What about Pro Bowlers HOF? USA College HOF? Gymnastics HOF?
The possibilities are endless...
Maybe have admin chime in?

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

I have found people that weren't in the Naismith HOF and emailed Admin and he/she/it added them. But there is also a women's HOF http://www.wbhof.com/ so I get what you are saying. And then there are team and school HOFs.
Maybe a list by sport of HOFs that the database uses to designate that attribute?
But what about the country music HOF? :)

I think the site has a specific Hall of Fame for each sport that it considers. When I requested Admin add the wrestling HOF a few years ago to tag those wrestlers, he asked my opinion of which HOF to go by, and in the end used the one unaffiliated with WWE or with Meltzer (the one that actually has a "Hall")
The fact that the possibilities are endless tells me the HOFs used should remain EXTREMELY limited on here. I could see HOF for a "minor" sport like bowling (sports that don't have their own category on our site). Bowling has a Hall of Fame (I've been to the old one many times, but they tore it down to build the new Busch Stadium in STL). But team HOFs or college HOFs would be a major stretch. A Baseball Hall of Famer is the accepted term for somebody enshrined in Cooperstown. Willie McGee is in the St. Louis Cardinals HOF. He is not a Baseball Hall of Famer, and should not have a HOF designation beside his name. Naismith HOF has MANY women basketball players enshrined.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I think there should be one HOF for each sport. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, bowling, boxing, etc.... I say "no' to each college's HOF, each State's HOF, each nationality's HOF, etc....

Joe, you found a real easy way of saying what I was trying to say!

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
