I found a way to keep collecting fresh....continually find something different to collect.
Collecting Team Logos has gotten out of hand....it's crazy! I love it, relatively easy, 30 or less cards, stickers, whatever to complete a set, and cheap to boot. Lucky, I had a good headstart with the Fleer Stickers.
Anyway, collecting has led to gathering info on MLB Franchises, origin and more. If my research is correct there are 10 present-day teams that have had the same NAME since inception. ex. and a start NEW YORK METS.
Can you name them?

hmmm...I can only come up with these:
Toronto Blue Jays
San Diego Padres
KC Royals
Colorado Rockies
Arizona Diamondbacks
Chicago White Sox
Detroit Tigers
Seattle Mariners

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

No to Yankees - they were Highlanders in 1903 only.
If we include Marlins, we need to include Angels as well, and then the total goes to 11. :) No Marlins/Angels, we have 9.

And if only going by the "name" and not city/state, you'd have to add Athletics.

C2 so far so good
NL Team....correction.......maybe not!!!
After further research I think I will leave it at 9. Wonder what team I thought was #10?
Note: Florida Marlins became the Miami Marlins in 2012.

Nope, can't think of another. Double-checked team histories. There is confusion about the Phillies. Some claim they were originally named the Quakers. The Phillies website doesn't mention Quakers but instead claims they were originally the Worcester Ruby Legs. And some experts claim the Worcester team was never moved to Philadelphia. That the Philadelphia team is an original team.

On the right track.....PHILLIES were the Quakers > Phillies > Blue Jays > back to Phillies. However history seemed to refer to the team as Phillies throughout???
1 More....
What team started off as the Baltimore Orioles?

Even though they try to deny it, the New York Yankees started in Baltimore.
