Well done. That's some cool looking cards there!

Nice.  What's the story behind them?  Won an auction?  Garage sale?  Buy off E-Bay?  Get from a shop?  I only ask because I love reading and hearing about those things.  My favorite "hauls" are the ones I find at Antique stores, flea markets, etc.... They are usually not much, but I love finding a box of 1000 cards for 10 bucks or so.  I always bite, and usually get some decent (to me anyways) finds.

I wish there was a cool story, but just got them at my favorite shop, New Concept in Medford, NJ.  The cool thing is I collect Phillies first and foremost so the Nola card actually made me yell like a kid, lol.  Regardless of value, if I get a Phillie its a win for me.

I collect mostly Phillies so regardless of value if I get a Phillie I'm happy.  Needless to say I marked out big time for Aaron. 

Awesome cards! As a Cardinals fan, of course the Musial is my favorite. The Marte is nice too b/c he's the only one of those players I've had the opportunity to see play in-person. I was in STL in 2013 and went to a Cardinals/Pirates game. That game ended up being #8 on MLB Network's Top-10 Games of 2013. My 1st game at Busch Stadium and the game went 14 innings and lasted 5 hrs. and 7 minutes. The Cardinals won 4-3 and I was sitting behind Marte every time the Cardinals were batting. It was a ton of fun and I hope to get back to STL for another game. I'm hoping that it won't take me another 30 years to make my second visit to STL. Oddly enough, STL and Chicago are 2 of my 3 favorite cities that I've been to outside of NC. I guess I need to go back to Chicago when the Cards are visiting the Cubs and add that experience too. :) For anyone wondering what other city is in the Top-3: Gulfport/Biloxi, MS. I was there helping rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and I love the area. Even as devastated as it was then, it's a lovely area and the people are so friendly. The beach life there felt just like the beach life here in NC. I haven't had a chance to go back since 2006 but I will someday.

If you don't want to spend the day at a dump, you could always see the Cardinals play the White Sox in an Interleague series!

   Remember I asked my fellow TCDB members about the 2000 card deal, I was pondering?

  Well the box arrived today....no worries about condition, all were in sleeves or toploaders....much better than I expected.

?The 1950s, 1960s Baseball were great!....like being a kid again...A lot of commons, some RC, some minor stars, but I found a few of Bob Gibson, Gaylord Perry, Joe Morgan and Seattle Pilots. Importantly, alot to fill the wholes in my older sets.

?The 1960s, 1970s Football was equally exciting..with Franco Harris, Jack Ham, lotsa Steelers and Eagles. And many set fillers.

?The Non-sports, I could use some help with; other than a handful of Beatles, Elvis, Monkees, Flags, Addams Family, Osmonds, Alien and so on..... a boatload of Star Wars from 1977-1980. I never collected Star Wars but I believe their are complete sets [or near sets] and plenty of doubles. Also plenty of stickers in really good shape.

?I expect some Star Wars will enter my collection, some headed to eBay and some up for trade and/or sale.

I guess the seller was really clearing the deck as I found some V and GPK sticker/cards from the 80s.

Any input, suggestions, advice welcome,
