I tend to agree with Billy. The only prices I enter are either on my trade/sale list or cards not priced due to scarcity. Those prices are just auction prices for cards I want for my PC.

A lot of those prices were entered by "one-day" members.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I like the prices as a quick reference and ignore the ridiculous ones. Would it make more sense to restrict price entering to a certain permission level to avoid one day member input?

Good call. I suspect people selling them enter a price, use our site as a reference to a potential buyer, who gets ripped off , and we end up looking bad. Billy is right; this really undermines what this site is all about. Had I seen prices like this on my first day, I doubt I would have joined.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I concur across the board but do like Billy's comment the best, however a permissions level would be a possible deterent from that but I also think just having a way for us to enter pricing so only we see it, I would like to be able to enter what I paid for said card on here with my PC for personal reference so that I don't forget what I paid for all this silly cardboard.

Some of those prices make a Gretzky OPC or Topps RC look like a bargain...
I have rarely put in prices, most times it's for something I just bought.
Have to agree, it's something that would work best on a permissions scale, too many unscrupulous folks out there padding the system for their own gains.
