So answer me this .... Why in the heck does the shipping amounts on eBay items always increase as soon as I click on them. It really is starting to make me grumpy!!! This one Ranford card for example says C$2.95 (2 bids) plus C$4.53 shipping then when I click on the card it jumps all the way up to C$13.06 ...... It does this for any amount of time, sometimes for the entire listing, sometimes a couple days, sometimes a few minutes. Tonight it decided to update to proper (I assume anyways) amounts during said rant. Not all listings do this but a lot do and I feel it's unfair and sneaky as crap!! How am I suppose to know what in the he'll I'm paying if eBay can't make up its mind on S&H ..... Annoying as hell!!! =(
Does this ever happen to anyone else?!?!

The only times I've ever seen that is when there has been an exchange rate to deal with.
If it did that to me, I'd be contacting the seller and telling them what I'd pay, or else I would cancel the order/bid.

Maybe the S&H and handling is calculated for US shipping but then once eBay realizes the card would be shipping to Canada, eBay displays the proper price

Or is it this latest charge for international buyers where it includes a duty / tax charge even though there is no duty on sports cards coming into Canada. The last time I went to buy something off ebay from outside Canada, it added $30 ($250 item). Did not buy it; haven't shopped ebay outside Canada since.

Call them and see if they can help. You usually get a live person fairly quickly if not immediately.

Super annoying. I've never noticed that.My first thought is that it has to be something related to shipping but if you are logged in it should give you an accurate shipping charge. What sandyrusty mentioned is probably the most likely. You would still think Ebay should show that in the price.

Sometimes the search results show $US shipping prices converted to $CA, The actual item listing will display the shipping price entered by the seller (to ship to Canada) which is usuall higher than the domestic US shipping. The other thing I've noticed is that if you are logged onto ebay.ca (CAN) site and reply to a message, your session continues on the ebay.com (US) site.

Thanks for the replies guys .... I'm using Cdn site .... It's seems to show everything as if it is in cdn but it is actually US even though it shows the "C" in front of it then when you click on item it shows it in actual cdn amount still with the C in front .... Literally looks like false advertising .... If I have the time I will try to get screen shots ......
but sadly my week has taken a terrible turn, my father passed on holiday Monday and am now having to deal with things one always dreads ... Will try to be back soon as you bunch of goobers seem to feel like family as well and will certainly enjoy your company when I get that chance. Some might call it normalcy my wife calls it something totally different!! Later.
