What's the point exactly anyway!!! Do they not have thier own website already?? I get that they are using every avenue available to sell product, I just hate my searches getting clogged with stuff that is so out to lunch shipping wise it hurts!! $22 shipping to Canada for ONE card ...... plus the "import charges" due at billing. Pathetic!!!!!!! Its cheaper to buy direct from thier site the crooks. Just shake my head and walk away.

I didn't know COMC was on ebay. I haven't searched on either site in a while though. Been saving up for the flux of cards coming from Panini's 1st NASCAR release on 7/27! I'm fixing to pre-order a couple of boxes, but I want some extra cash to buy the PC cards that I don't pull. I agree that COMC has no need or reason to be on ebay though. Maybe it's a "publicity stunt" to get more people to know who they are, but I don't know if that will work if shipping prices are that ridiculous.

yeh.. saw them on there a couple days ago.. think its just their way of getting people to switch over to them to both buy and sell.. but i also know they need to get more organized first before they get more people selling on there.

It's no different than how they also sell on Amazon. It gets more visibility to the cards. Many more people will see the cards on eBay than the would on COMC. However, if you know COMC is a thing, of course you should buy directly through the COMC.com site as you end up paying less. Most of the cards listed for $0.99 are actually cheaper on COMC, and shipping is cheaper directly thru COMC.

I just noticed that yesterday. I'd prefer to just use the site and skip all the other auction/BIN stuff. Some of the prices are still way out of line, though. Like DaClyde said, shipping and prices are cheaper on the site, too.

I understand the reasons, but yes it is annoying having all of these COMC cards cloggong up my searches for newly listed items on eBay when they are cards I have already been seeing for years on COMC. I wish there was a way to block a specific seller from showing up in my search results.

I was about to join the parade of "why the eff did they do this" but then I checked my daily eBay search emails and discovered that COMC had listed a Pete Incaviglia I've been looking for for years. Must have added it to their inventory very recently.
Is there a way to get notifications that COMC gets a card in that you are looking for?

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

they don't have an auto notification that i'm aware of, they do have a Watch List, but the card you're wanting has to be listed already. Other than that, i just type in the player name in the top search bar, then to the right have it sort by "recently added". it will sort all of that player with the most recent additions

Tom - there is a way in the advanced search feature to block specific sellers' listings from showing up in your search.
I have found that it works well in the actual searches, but does not work on the home page where it shows all your followed searches.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).
