Good job on the 10K benchmark.  I have a lot more to get to catch up with you, but I'm happy with what I have for now.  Maybe one day I'll reach 10K Royals, I think it will be easier since I'm missing a lot of the mid 2000's.

Congrats on the milestone!  I'm also a Royals collector and was pretty stoked when I hit 5,000 before the season started.  I wonder how many years it will take to hit 10,000?

Nice Milestone! Using Bill Kingsley's idea I did a check on my 9100 or so Tiger's listed (I have many more to go) and your 20% beats my 13.8%. Guess that is the price a fan of a team that's been around over 100 years! As someone else mentioned hitting 20% is incredible (especially considering the 80% to go consists of no doubt 1000s of printing plates, superfractors, and other cards serial numbered to some ridiculous print run). That is 1 out of every 5 possible Royals cards in existance!

I am reviving this old post because....I have finished entering my Royal collection and (if you include the multi sport) I am at 3001 Royals cards.  VERY impressive kcjays!!!!  I thought for sure I was close, just to find out I am not even halfway there.  Having said that. Mr kcjays and jupiterhill I have listed all of my dupes for sale and trade and (after I hit post on this reply) will have my wantlist up.  If you fellow Royals collecters want to help me out with what I need, and likewise I help you let me know.

I don't make a habit of checking my totals, but since you asked, I looked. My Royals collection currently stands at 13,530 different cards. I think that is 17.9% of the total cards.

I appreciated the well wishes from everyone. I have fun looking, finding and buying or trading for the cards. Whenever I reach 20,000 I'll revive this post.
