        For me this is jumping off the very deep end.

     I am not talking about the cards that have gold or silver markings on them so the company can sell the same card 2 or 3 different times. 

     I am talking about cards that are metal covered in gold or silver. In my military career going all over the world I found and purchased a number of them. I have Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle and many others and though I have never really looked I was wondering if they belonged in the TCDB or any other card site. Are they in the data base, do they belong and where would they go? 

     This is probably a stupid question that has been tackled before but I was wondering your thoughts?

Are you talking about Bleachers cards?

There's plenty of examples of what you describe listed here that were parallels or subsets of larger trading card products.  I hope the independant releases are also acceptable, here is one that I submited a few months ago:

This one is licensed, but it seems there is also room for unlicensed items here too.

Great question. Not sure what the answer is. Are they unique designs or based off some other set only in gold or silver?

I actually have a porcelain Nolan Ryan card in the form of his 1992 Topps card. Part of a limited release Nolan Ryan commemorative set featuring one for each year he had a Topps card. Don't think it is in the database. I figured it is unique enough it wouldn't make it in here.

     C2,  I have Legends, Classic, Upper Deck, Topps and I do have at this moment sererated 2 Bleachers cards.

Lee, the card looks like that card but so far I haven't found any racing cards. I have Baseball, Basketball and Football at this time. I have many more boxes to go through.

Mitch, I believe I have a couple of Porcelain cards also. I know that I have tin, steel and some other type metal cards.

   I guess I'll have to try and find if what I have is in the Data Base, one at a time.    Thanks..   Paul.
