I'm sorry, I just can't let this go. There's a new eBay seller (zero sales, so far) who just gets my goat, already. goldenagepastime.
Of course, he prices things absurdly -- ungraded 1971 Clemente - $400; ungraded 1971 Blue - $5000 starting bid (but you can buy it now for $7000. Hurry!)
But his descriptions are also out of control and obscene. The Clemente description has four heavy curse words and a sexual allusion to the bat in the picture. The description for the Blue says he thinks it could be the only PSA Gem Mint 10 in existence! Of course, it's not graded or anything. But if you compare his card to PSA 9 examples on eBay, it "kicks their asses!!!!!" The cheap $40 cards don't even have descriptions.
I'd report him for...something...but I don't know what. I swear as much as the next guy, but am still oddly offended by the cursing in the description. I'm more offended by the pricing, but can only hope people stay very far away.

Sorry, just a rant that I had to let out.

Some of his other items are OK like only $25 for 1970 Hank Aaron. $5 1970 Jim Palmer. 1971 Ernie Banks just $30? For most of his other stuff he doesn't give much of a description if any at all. At least he shows backs. I prefer scans than photos but at least he isn't using stock photos.
I wonder if Ebay has a policy against cursing in item descriptions? Probably not if selling a

They do have standards - and I reported the Clemente listing as there is no getting around that one. A seller with zero feedback getting reported less than 3 weeks into their membership - I hope ebay does the right thing here. Sickening. A shame too, those 1971s do look nice.
Edit: Looked at some of his other listings - wow - he/she either has NO CLUE or is trying to deceive people. Called the 1971 Topps Bench & Seaver cards their RCs (68 & 67, respectively). Called the 1970 Terry Harmon an OPC, when it clearly doesn't have the "PRINTED IN CANADA" on it. I did actually sent them a note on each of them, but did get a little snarky on the last one (I stated I thought they might be trying to deceive people). We'll have to see what happens. Good collectors like us need to call out sellers like this.

Now I feel like a weenie for not going after him myself. I'll just content myself in knowing that I probably would have tonight, but now you guys have taken care of it.
Those 1971s have (illegal) "reprint" written all over them, by the way. Not literally, but they look almost too good to be true.

Good on you for doing that, its like the people at the family restaurant or ice cream parlor, etc that just can't have a conversation without the f-bomb and the like. Ask my wife my mouth is made of poo some days too but not in public or a public forum ..... PLEASE use some sense, tact, manners, pick a word.

Here's the proper reporting categories:

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thakfully, it loks like they've only made one sale (a best offer was accepted). Funny fact about thir listings:
- $15.00
- 0 bids
- $25.00
- Buy It Now
-
So, 1970 is not his rookie, but 1971 is. Huh?
