Updated list is up, I will keep updating with anymore you can think of 

Love the "He played for Who?" list. Here are some NFL ones to consider (they are all tied to the Carolina Panthers though):

*John Kasay - Kicker (most known for playing with the Carolina Panthers from their 1st game in 1995 until he was released 7/28/11)

He was originally drafted by the Seahawks in 1991 and played for them until the Panthers signed him prior to the 1995 season. He still holds the record for longest career with the Panthers and many other team records. Kasay ALSO played for the New Orleans Saints for the 2011 season!

*Tyrone Poole - Cornerback

He was drafted by the Panthers in the 1st Rd. in 1995. He played with them for many years. He was the starting cornerback for the Patriots in SB38 when they beat the Panthers!

*Ricky Proehl - Wide Receiver

He was drafted by the Phoenix Cardinals in 1990 out of Wake Forest University. He played for the Cardinals until he was traded to Seattle in 1995. He played for the Seahawks for 2 years and the Chicago Bears for a season. In 1998, he joined the St. Louis Rams (AKA - "The Greatest Show on Turf") and they later won SB 34 over the Titans. He was a factor again in SB 36 against the Patriots by scoring a game-tying TD, but they lost on a last-second FG by Adam Vinatieri. He signed a contract with Carolina before the 2003 season. He again made it to the Super Bowl (SB38), but on the losing end again b/c of Adam Vinatieri's game-winning FG to close out one of the greatest All-Time SB's. Proehl made it to ANOTHER SUPER BOWL (STILL as a player) when he came out of retirement to replace Brandon Stokley as a WR for the Colts in 2006. The Colts won SB 41 with Proehl and Vinatieri as teammates!

Proehl was 2-2 in Super Bowl games with 3 different teams and both losses were to Adam Vinatieri kicking FG's late in the game. The 2nd win was with Vinatieri as a teammate. Talk about conincidence!

On a side note, I have IP AU's of 2 of the WR's from the "Greatest Show on Turf". Torry Holt and Ricky Proehl are both from NC and I had the opportunity to meet each of them seperately. Torry didn't have his SB ring yet when I met him (plus, he had just finished his RC year). Ricky let me hold his SB34 STL Rams Ring and his 2003 NFC Champs Panthers Ring when I met him a few years later. (Plus, the Security Guys are HUGE!!!) It was awesome to talk to Ricky and I'll never forget that, especially since Sam Mills was supposed to be there the day before Ricky, but passed away on the Monday before the signing. RIP MILLS!!! KEEP POUNDING!!!

I'll never forget meeting those two members of one Super Bowl Championship team. Even though the team moved a thousand miles or so away from where they were, the former players are what I will remember. I'm not at all a Rams fans, no matter where they live now, but I'll never forget those 2 players that were part of the STL RAMS greatest team. They came from Carolina and I met them here in NC and then I later got to see the stadium before the Rams went BACK to LA.

Spazmatastic, I don't think I'll add any of those because they aren't as well known to people that are hug me sports buffs like you and me, however I really enjoyed reading your comment, I'll never forget meeting Rod Carew when I was 5, him and Fergie Jenkins were signing together, and I was wearing a jersey of my favorite player, Sammy Sosa, he goes "hey little Cubbies fan" and he gives me a little razzing before Fergje steps in and signs the ball too haha 

NP and I completely understand. That's a fun story of meeting Rod and Fergie! I'm glad you liked my story too. There aren't many stories like that in NC since we only have the Panthers and the Hornets as major teams, Oh yeah, and the Carolina Hurricanes NHL team. I still don't know why the Hurricanes are here (in the first place OR why they haven't moved back north) b/c this state just doesn't care about hockey. The ACC universities in NC can't even get a hockey league going, it's a "club event" where the teams find ways to provide equipment and schedule matches against other teams. In NC, it's basketball/football/racing at any level that gets people to pay money to watch. We have over a dozen MiLB baseball teams and they do well, but nothing like college basketball/football, Carolina Panthers NFL, Hornets NBA games and NASCAR racing.

I have a couple more Panthers references for you though and both are HOF'ers.

* Reggie White (The "Minister of Defense") - The fierce DE for the Eagles and Packers played for the Panthers in 2000 before retiring from football.

* Kevin Greene - LB - most known as a Pittsburgh Steeler, played for the Panthers for several seasons late in his career (not really a secret though). ;)

I know I can come up with more of these, but I'm just working straight from my head right now.

Let's revive this thread. I already posted a bunch of stuff before, so now I have ideas to make my own "List" (or two). What can you guys offer to Josh now?

I'm making lists of all the different sets in my collection as I recon them. (Not including stuff that does not qualify for the My Completed Sets album). Still a long way to go before finishing it, it is on the back burner now as I'd rather be done scanning first, so I can pick my favorite photo per set. It's going to be years before I'm ready to post them. And it's a heck of a lot of work because my sets count is well into the quadruple digits.

My lists are all turned off. I decided I don't like mine.  My brother made a good one, college hoop players he saw in person. Pretty long list.  He uses his vacation time to travel the country during the conference tournaments, so he's seen tons of teams with multiple games per day.

While I'm typing, I just thought of a really cool idea that incorporates another hobby of mine as well.  Give me an hour or so and I'll have it up.  I know three of you might take interest, based on past conversations.  Appropriate for this time of year, too...

Athletes born on holidays? Even though I don't always comment I look at every list that gets posted.

Has anyone done a list of famous one-sided trades? Like Scottie Pippen for Olden Polynice, Nolan Ryan for Jim Fregosi, Wayne Gretzky for Jimmy Carson and Martin Gilenas, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for Brian Winters, or Pedro Martinez for Delino DeShields?
