Hi Everyone,

I just recently joined here, and though I've made a few forum posts already I thought I'd introduce myself.

I've been collecting baseball cards since 1989 and currently am focusing on three areas: John Olerud, Topps Blue Jays team sets, and Topps base sets issued during my lifetime (1974 to now).

In the past I've been pretty active on another online database/trading site. Without going into too many specifics I'll just say that the site was recently taken over by another major hobby entity, and as a result the experience there really tanked due to lack of moderation and site maintenance.

So now I'm a noobie Trading Card Database member undertaking at the major task of cataloguing my collection in a new format. As I make progress I hope to get into trading here, since that's my favorite part of the hobby.

I'm looking forward to making some new hobby friends and trading partners here!

Welcome to TradingcardDB. I have to say after going to other sites and using them over the years, i have consistantly used this site. Nothing like being able t help build the site, make corrections, add information to the site. The added bonus is you can trade, have an inventory etc of your collection.

Once you work through the permissions area and take the tests you can increase your capabilities on the site. Check out the FAQ section also. Welcome aboard and if you have any questions just ask, no pressure here and everyone is ready to assist.

Welcome to the site!  I would definately say this is the best site you could find being a trading card collector.  I have only been on this site for a little under a year.  Even though I feel I have contributed with scans, forum posts etc, I am by no means a veteran.  You will come across people on this site who are very knowledgeable about the hobby and are often more than happy to help with any questions you may have..  I come to this site at least a few times per day, and try to contribute when I have free time.

On another note, I am very impressed that you were able to add over 19,000 cards to your collection in such little time.  I only have roughly 5,000 and it took me about a month haha.

So far pretty much all I've done is enter some complete sets I have. It was pretty  quick and easy!

Welcome to TCDB, I am one of the Mad-Hatters here, stirring things up endlessly and the funny thing is they still like me. LOL I will have been in for three years this summer and no sign of them letting me go either so I guess they are stuck with me. All joking aside it is a fun place to relax and enjoy your hobby, it can also heal and mend when needed and there are friendly typers all over the place. Don't be scared at sending friend requests most of us are actually really nice people. ;) I'm home sick and full of meds maybe its time for a nap. =)

Welcome Rod!  I truly believe this is the best card site on the internet. There's never a time when I am on the computer and don't have at least one window open here. I think you'll be very happy here!
