I have noticed that the famous T206 Honus Wagner card is listed in a few site member's collections.  Just curious if anyone thinks or knows that any site members actually have that card. 

I thought this card was incredibly rare so that is why I am a bit surprised to see it listed multiple times by people who happen to be members here. 

Interestingly none of the members who have it on their collection lists or the one who have it on their For Sale/Trade list are active on the message board section.

one thing to keep in mind is that some people consider having the card if they have a reprint of it. I'm not one of those people, but I have come across a few over the years. I don't know if the members here that list it as in their collection do that, though, as I don't know any of them.

Haha I wish having a reprint was the same as the real thing. When I was a kid I traded a few Barry Bonds base cards (my friend was obsessed with him) for a Julius Erving rookie card. He showed it to me and said "look man, a Magic Johnson rookie". At that point I came to the conclusion he no longer deserved that card and worked him on the trade. Turned out it was a reprint from 1996 Topps Stars. Still like the card anyways lol 

My guess is that Billy is correct, but there's more. There's one member who's collection lists two cards, both for sale/trade: the Wagner and the Eddie Plank from that set (of which there were only 50-75 produced; it values around $10,000). Another collector says he has the complete 1909-11 T-206 set. My guess would be that they were a) trying to be impressive or b) hoping to make a pretty penny by scamming some members. 

Disclaimer: My info on the Plank card wasn't known to me; rather another site member commented that info on that particular card, which was my source. 

I've also noticed that some of the names aren't members. It looks like some of the names have been computer generated by something or someone. Some of the soccer sets I have that I've inputted into the database are hard to find in the US. But yet two days after inputting them, it looked like two or three people not only had them in their collection, but were willing to trade them.
