And a few days later another shout from me. This one goes to PapaG321. When he pulled his cards for our trade he couldn't find one of them. I told him no worries, happens all the time. Got the package today and he threw some unexpected extras in there. Thank you!!!

I should have waited until I opened my other package before posting here. ANOTHER shout out this one to SuddenSam. Pretty much for the same reason as PapaG. Thank you for making my Monday.

Arrived as tired as can be from another NJ trip and found a couple of unexpected envelopes. Thanks robbyrichardson for the Glenn Davis cards and cnangle for the Scott/Valenzuela/Gooden card. It uplifted my spirits, for sure. Blessings to you both!

Shout out to herbinator who added a dozen cards I needed from the early/mid-70s OPC hockey sets that I needed. An unexpected surprise for sure. Thank you.

Huge shout out to Bkim for sending out close to (200) 1983 Topps baseball cards for my new project I am going to call "Reclaiming Cards the Ex-Wife stole" While going through the collection I found I am missing some binders and sets of cards. This was confirmed by a friend of mine who had done some work on her house in the past and he was shown a box of cards that she had taken when we seperated.
So on a thread I made a comment about the first set I noticed missing was the 1983 Topps baseball set and BKIM messaged me and statedhe would send some cards my way that he had doubles of and low an behold I received the package a couple days ago. The only things he wanted in return is if i had anything he wanted or some Phillies traders. So now to repay the young man.
Thanks again for your kind gesture
Mark

And the beat goes on! Kudos to marcbrubaker and T206 (Wayne) for the extras in our trades. It never ceases to amaze me how generous our community of collectors are. I should learn from them.

Awww what a nice young man. Calling me young. I bought those cards when I was 27 yo back in 1983, and they have been in a Cheese box, a 3200, or monster box since then. Yes cheese box a 5 lb cheese block for deli slicing. You went to store and asked if you could have it.
It was good to move them out
Now that 2018 topps 2nd series out and you have dupes see if you have any of the approx 25 I still need.

The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards
