After spending a LOT of time moving a few weeks ago, going up and down stairs carrying boxes and boxes and binders and binders full of cards, I have decided to try and sell off cards I really don't want/need. I have only used eBay to sell cards sporadically for small $$. I know COMC also uses eBay so that seems like a double listing, meaning possibly more views on cards. My question is, is using one site (eBay or COMC) alone better than the other? With eBay you are charged a final selling percentage fee and (sometimes) a listing fee. Not having used COMC, do they charge the same kind of fees? Is it more advantageous to sell a large amount of cards on COMC for a better profit? Thanks in advance.

My viewpoint:
COMC has a processing fee, storage fee, and relisting fee. You have to send them the cards.
Ebay & PayPal have final selling fees. I use only the free listings on ebay, so no listing fee. Every month is usually 50 free listings. They also have occasional bonus free listings, an additional 100 or 500 free listings. And since I keep my cards they are available for trading/selling on this site, or at my local hobby shop.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

COMC the storage fees are only for higher valued cards. I wasn't aware that they had relisting fees usually you just list the cards for whatever fixed price you want. Then again I haven't looked into how their auctions work.

COMC has no relisting fee. I have had stuff there since September, it costs a quarter to list each card, and since none of them are over 75 cents, no listing fee.
With COMC you, post them once and they stay until they sell. No worries about having to pay to relist it multiple times. No risk of people buying it, claiming they never got it, and leaving negative feedback, or worse, keeping the card and getting their money back as well, because ebay ALWAYS sides with the buyer, no matter what. There's been a rash of people lately stating they sent it back and sending newspaper or an empty toploader instead. I see threads about that on Facebook at least once a week.
Pro of Ebay is that you probably have more eyes looking at it, although you can opt-in to have COMC cross-promote them on Ebay and Amazon.
Another possible Pro of ebay is that if it's a more expensive card it's more likely to sell fast on Ebay. COMC seems to be mostly used by people who try to complete sets, although there are people on there who go for the flashy expensive stuff too.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I've only sold on ebay. But there is another option to consider. You could look into https://www.sportlots.com/ I've never sold there but maybe some the members here have. Just another option.

I have only bought on COMC but have been trying to find out more about selling there.
As for eBay, it has its Pro's & COns also as mentioned above. As for Sportlots, I have sold on there and use it for mostly commons and inserts The fee's/% of sales is quite large if you do not sell alot of items in a month.
Listed below is the fee schedule, so if you sell alot the fee is smaller.
Here is the Sportlots Fixed Priced Fee Structure:

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

One thing to note with this fee schedule is I don't believe they take a cut of the shipping on Sportlots like they do on ebay.
