I told my oldest
that if she wanted
to do something
nice for me on
Father's Day she
could sort all of
my dupes into team
lots. We'll see how

I asked my kids for a box of Topps Series 2. It arrived in the mail yesterday. After I opened the packs my daughter sat down and helped me sort and organize the cards. Missing 16 base set cards. I'll get on SportLots this afternoon and order those. So far, it's been a great Father's Day weekend.

Happy Father's Day to all. Billy sorry for your lose, but you can still celebrate. Have a beer with him in your thoughts. Would love to get some cards as a Father's Day gift, but the picture my Daughter made me is going to be far better.

I too am spending the rest of my Fathers' Days without mine, Billy. He died in '06 while I was overseas in Iraq... He never got to see me home safe and that just sucks. Didn't want to be a downer, just want to share my feelings on this day with my cardboard Brothers. Have a great one guys and gals! |

Haven't really appreciated fathers day myself for 18 years. Just another day that weasels by and reminds me it has been 18 years. Mothers day sucks too because that was the day my father passed away 18 years ago. Lets just say that my family really doesn't celebrate those days too well...

I wouldn't say we're "downers." Reality isn't always going to be pulling an awesome card from a pack. Sometimes the pack's completely full of doubles you can't get rid of. :)
