I have a 2001 or 2002 tools total Arizona diamondbacks 50 collectible cards. Is it worth more if it's unopened or does it matter? 

Generally unopened product is worth more than opened. This specific box would be more valuable to Diamondback team collectors than anybody else really.

I think you mean "TOPPS"? Is "TOOLS" Total some hardware store brand? Hehehe.

Unfortunately to get rich off of unopened boxes you would have to have something like an unopened case of 1952 Topps Baseball or some other incredibly rare box. That is if you were to get rich from selling it.

Could anybody explain what makes a rookie. Every time I think it's a rookie card trading card data base tells me it's not.

I thought the first year in the majors would be the rookie card for that player.

Pretty sure it represents any time a brand or set issues a player card for the first time as a pro.  I am not sure how they treat update sets, but a #1 draft pick card would be a rookie.  Bowman likes to issue cards real early in a players career, so their Bowman rookie rarely coincides with when they are in the majors.  Topps is a little more time realistic.  Can anyone say it better than I can.  I feel like my definition isn't great.
