I'm currently touring Europe and at the end of one of our excursions in Bruges, Belgium, I saw a little shop that sold cards and postcards. I only had a short time but I bought a booklet of postcards commemorating the centennial anniversary of Belgium's independence, 1830-1930. The shop owner claimed it was authentic, and in my haste I went ahead and purchased the booklet. How can I confirm its authenticity? They're not written in English and I couldn't find a copyright date on them.
I also bought some old cards of my western cowboy heroes with no copyright. I couldn't find any of them on the site, Roy Rogers (with Trigger), Randolph Scott, and Jimmy Stewart. Any help will be appreciated.

Once you get home you'll have to provide us some scans. Looking forward to seeing them.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I was in London, Germany, and Luxembourg and didn't see much in terms of shops. I will say, I didn't have much time and my looking wasn't all that thorough, but if I ever get over seas again, I will have to try to do a better job looking.

It was just there to the side of our meeting place for the tour bus to leave.
Be back at the end of the month and I'll see about scans.

as far as the authenticity, you'll have to find somene that is something like an antique dealer or historical artiifact person.. kinda like when PSA or Spence goes around doing authentics.. there are people out there, you can actually prob find someone there in europe just to say --- yeh, its the real deal.
and Roy Rogers is on here in the non-sports.

Yeah, finding a historian or expert on that particular item is probably going to be your only bet for close to 100% certainty.
As far as cards from abroad, I wished I could go back to Thailand all the time. You can get great cards super cheap there. They don't have any true sports card shops like we know them, but they had sports shops and shops dedicated to particular teams and you could usually find cards in those kinds of shops. I got a box of 2003 Upper Deck Manchester United which I pulled a Gold Ruud Van Nistlerooy (4/10) and a Ronaldo Match-Worn Shirt card out of, for just the equivilent of $25! I found that at a Manchester United shop in downtown Bangkok.

Yeah, I figured I'd need an expert. Going by the shop's inventory I'd say they were authentic. If it had been a sports card shop I'd have thought I'd died and landed in heaven. The owner kept everything in binders, boxes, or in cases.
I tried uploading pictures of the cards but I couldn't figure out how to get them off my phone. Oh well I'll have to wait until I get home at the end of the month.
By the way, if you ever come to the UK make loch Ness in Scotland a priority. Aside from the legend, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
