Hi everyone! I am relatively new to this site. I didn't know it existed until over a week ago. I started collecting football and basketball in the mid-90s when I was pretty young and until 2012 or so I was pretty active. Then I went to college for a few years and fell off the collecting wagon so to speak and was not sure I would ever get back on. Around 6 months ago I was in a Target and decided to buy a pack and it felt so good to open packs again. I graduated in May and start my job in a few weeks so hope to be able to continue this hobby I love. I am happy to be back and definitely excited to join a community online because I have never had one other than my brother and local card shop. Keep rocking everyone!

Welcome and it is always good to hear from someone who is getting back into collecting through rediscovering the joy and fun it brings. Glad your layoff was shorter than mine. I stopped in 1993 and got back into it in 2015. I can honestly say, I am glad you found the site. I found it in 2016 and it is completely enhanced by joy in the hobby. I consider it my favorite site on the web and I don't go a day without checking it. The community is amazing and the members make this site awesome. Friendliest and most helpful bunch of people I have ever had the honor to come in contact with. I hope you find your re-entry as satisfying as I did mine!!!

Thank you for the welcome! Billy, I am mostly a football collector anymore. I have a pretty big football and basketball collection and since I recently graduated from USC, I am thinking about dipping my toes into collecting Trojans. But as of now, I am focused on collecting Denver Broncos more than anything. I am from Colorado and have always rooted for and collected Colorado teams. That being said, I also just collect players I enjoy watching. I have not started putting my collection online, but hopefully I will start pretty soon.

Welcome back into the hobby and to the greatest site there is in the hobby. You will see only very positive posts about this site as members post here. I think the bigest reason for this is that it has been very much molded by the members themselves; Admin is very receptive and reactive to our suggestions.
I do suggest that you take the time toget very familiar with the site's layout and features. Read the FAQ and then feel free to ask asmany questions as you wish. There are several very knowledgeable members here, be it about the site or about the hobby, no matter the sport. Consider how you wish to enter your collection and, if you are willing to trade here, enter both your For Sale / Trade and your Want lists.
As laready said, for most of us, this site is a regular part of our day. It has brought the joy of collecting to many and enhanced the hobby for most. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the site, you are sure to enjoy the depth the site brings to any collecter regardless of size and scope, I joined in 2014 and like everyone else it has become a daily routine morning and night. These members have helped me through way more than anyone would expect and have come to know some good enough to consider good friends. Always an ear and a helping hand here. I am sure you will enjoy it, and WHAT? no hockey!!!!!! =) avsbruins is fairly active member here and he is also from your state. Maybe he can convince you that the Avs are worth cheering for ........... now that they have Yakupov DOH!!

There's a lot of football fans on here- even a Broncos fan, who went by BroncoNut. Have not seen him around in a while though. You'll fit right in, and like was said above, any question, ask away, somebody will see it and know the answer before too long, or at least where to look!

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Welcome! Have fun with the hobby. Glad you've been able to find the means to re-enter it (although, if you still have all of your old stuff, did you really ever leave?). As you probably know from your local card shop experience, generally, the people in the hobby are some of the best people on the planet (very few exceptions). We've been pretty good here with ensuring that the exceptions don't surface here. :) I always say we have the best of the hobby here, which means we have the best of the best here. Glad you can join us. If you have a scanner, hope some of the older cards you have, you can contribute scans for them.

I think at some point, most of us have left the hobby for many reasons. I pretty much dropped off during the late 90's and early 2000's. Highschool and relationships took up all my time. Once I got back into it, I realized how much I missed it. Have fun with it and make it what you want it to be!
