Heya folks,
I recently signed up and have been adding cards to my collection. Not long ago I bought a 500 card lot of all different Griffey JR cards.
The thing is, about half of them do not have price info. I know that I can report a price but with so many of these it is difficult already just identifying them. Any advice?

If you look back at a recent forum discussion, you will see that most of us disregard the pricing feature here as it issubject to erroneous entries and is best not used as a gauge for the value of cards. It is about the only feature here that most of us turn off in regards to our own collection.

Yes, you do not have to add a price. The prices vary and are never kept up to date. When I sell something, I will update that card but I never simply update card prices for the heck of it.

Here's the most recent forum thread about card prices. IMO, with so much to do on this site, don't waste your time with prices.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I think the problem with the pricing is that not enough people enter pricing. If more people entered pricing, more cards would have pricing (to the original poster's point) and one lunatic entering in a crazy price wouldn't throw the who thing out of wack.

Thanks all for the response! I am reading through the thread you mentioned. As to the whole price thing, since I have been out of the hobby for so many years I was hoping for a sort of ballpark value on what I have and what I will add to the collection.
Thanks again

Unless you have pre-1980 cards, your collection isn't as valuable as you probably thought. As C2Cigars tagline says, "One day my cards will double in value and be worth half of what I paid!" So true!
