I have only had my Jordan RCs graded and that was around 15 years ago, at a show. I see no sense in having anything valued under $100 graded.

See, I see a couple of tiny flaws in the post that you may have missed, so would only give it a 9, thereby reducing its value by about 40%.

His post doesn't meet minimum size requirements. I think he "trimmed" it down. I'll have mark it "Min Size Req" and reject it.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I'm going to bust that post out of the slab hopefully without stabbing my hand with the screwdriver.

Have you noticed that since Beckett started grading cards they consider a PSA 10 as being a 9 in their book? That's how you take down the competition!

That's mostly b/c of the few "scandals" that have haunted PSA over the years. BGS has mostly only had consistency issues from time to time. I don't know how Beckett considers their BCCG graded cards compared to BGS/BVG, but I consider a BCCG 10 the same as a BGS 8. The only PSA graded item that I own is the Griffey Jr. AU'd baseball I received for my birthday. All of my graded cards were part of trades or collection purchases. None of them were influenced by the fact that there were graded cards involved.

Just to note: in order too get the bulk rate ($7/card, 100 cards minimum), you must be a PSA Collectors Club member. Depending on the level you choose that, and extra $100-$200.
That being said, I may be the only one in here who actually likes slabbed cards. I'm a bit OCD, but having a card slabbed not only keeps that card protected, it also gives a bit of information about it in the label. I like that. I'm not getting base cards slabbed, but I definitely have some of my "rarer" cards graded and slabbed.
That's what makes the hobby great - everyone can really do their own thing that makes them happy!

My Cardboard Habit PC'ing Matt Harrison, Rusty Greer & anything Texas Rangers PLEASE NOTE: I am currently reorganizing my collection at the moment, so I will not be trading until I have everything in the system. Thanks for understanding!
