I warned you that I was working on the 1970 Topps Baseball set and that I would post another post like this soon. And it is complete.
Again, a shout out to my wife and starting daughter, who bought a bunch of these as gifts. And to my local card shop. And to the eBay sellers that brought it home.
This one kind of snuck up on me. 1971 was my focus, but I was working on this at the same time, and then, boom! 1970 is done.
It'll be a few years before 1969 gets done, so you needn't worry about more of these posts. Although I'm one card from completing my Merkle's Boner collection....
Happy collecting, everyone!

Way To Go V, way to go. Now, to get that 71 set done and a good start to a 1969 set.
The 1969 set is an expansion year set so that means a lot of no hats or air brushed photos. At least in the first 2 series until the New teams had a chance to play in NY, Boston or Phila. to get new pictures taken in new uniforms.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

congrats.
I completed the grays in 2015 ( I thought) and I went through the box to verify and found a couple of gremlins. so I still need two high numbers..

Congratulations. I bet I have < 25 cards from that set, but I did win one in an eBay auction this morning.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Congrats. Building a set is a huge accomplishment.

Don't forget about the KC Royals as an expansion that year as well. Proud I completed that team set. BTW I have a few 69 Non Royals Topps cards if you're interested.
