I've been keeping an eye on the total scans posted on the top right of the home page...we hit the 1,990,000 barrier last night. We're getting really close to 2 Million...Likely will happen in the first week of September since we are averaging more than 1000 scans a day. (I didn't think to actually keep track).

I have a bunch of scans I made ready to go, but I'm busy doing other stuff right now (card related-will appear on Cardboard History soon) and am still a day or two away from getting back to posting...or more, since I'm the World's Worst Estimator. Maybe I will be lucky and post the magic number. I have posted more than 70,000 scans but have yet to appear in the milestone scan list Admin has created.

Awesome!  This site is fantastic and I am glad to see it continue to grow.  I wish I could contribute with scans more, but I haven't had much time to be able to sit down at the computer and scan them in.  I don't think I have scanned a card in over a month and still have a decent sized list of "cards without images".  Hopefully I will be able to get some more scanning time in soon.  

Do front+back scans count as 1 or 2 towards the total? 

Best site on the internet, hands down! I'm not going be able to do any posting for about half of September but that doesn't mean I'm moving away from the site or anything.

I THINK only fronts are counted, but I don't know for sure, Bounty.

Is there a way to see who posts the 2,000,000th scan just for curiosity sake?  I think it would be cool to know who it was.

As for my scanning, I slide some through here and there when I get the chance.  The last time I scanned, I had trouble getting the card off the glass and I was worried that too much of my fingernail caught it to lift it up.  After looking for about 30 seconds to make sure I didn't bend or gash the card (I didn't), I got afraid and stopped scanning for the night.  I am too neurotic when it comes to that.

I think I am ready to get back on the horse again.  Maybe I'll be 2,000,000!!!

I believe admin has a list where the card will be posted. Then it is just a matter of seeing who uploaded that particular card.

Yes Muskie, the Admin always posts every 100,000th card milestone in the forums.  I think there was a prize for 1,000,000.  From memory, it was a card of a fire truck.

That's cool, I do not know why I haven't seen it before.  My guess is I wasn't paying attention for it and never noticed what was right in front of my face!  I'll pay attention for this next one, lol!

I predicted we'd hit 2 million at the end of August or early September, so hopefully I'm still right!  Although I didn't take into count that Billy wouldn't uploaded any scans for a month lol
