I had heard that postage is going up. I just printed out postage on Paypal and it is still at $2.61. Do you think that is alright? Sorry previous thread answered that.

I can't answer about Paypal rates but here are the postal rates:
September Rate Change
The U.S. Postal Service announced that it will increase its rates on First-Class Mail® Parcels (FCM Parcels) by a weighted average of 9.9 percent, effective September 3, 2017.
The Postal Regulatory Commission’s approved the reclassification of First-Class Mail Parcels as retail prices for First-Class™ Package Services (FCPS). FCPS allows you to ship light packages weighing under 16 ounces. Prices within the new Retail category are available for items weighing not over 13 ounces and will range between 14 percent and 31 percent higher than Commercial prices. Note: Signature Confirmation has always been available for FCM Parcels and will continue to be an option.

Can confirm. 3 bubble mailer traders went out a few minutes ago, each was $3.

Ouch jmiller4, I'm guessing that is the one coming to me. Crap. I do have to say you guys are getting hosed. My postage to you was significantly less than that on a trade of pretty much equal amount of cards, and in currently useless CND currency. Hope this doesn't affect you guys/gals trading over the imaginary line on the 49th parallel and the Great Lakes! It is almost like the trade has to be so small you aren't affected, or so large you aren't really affected.

That would be yours rmpaq5. Doesnt bother me that much. Just don't understand the reasoning behind the much higher cost. Twice as much, no problem, but this is over 3 times as much.

I don't know about down south but up here, the prices vary depending who it is that is doing the charges. I have used about 6 different postal outlets and every one seems to have different ideas about what to charge. Needless to say, I try to get to the one that seems to be the most reasonable.

This is so spot on! There is a few workers at my local Post Office that will let me send thin bubble mailers as oversized letters to the States. The rules are it can only contain paper, and since cards are cardboard paper they let it slide. Others don't. Sometimes also a light packet is less expensive than regular oversized letter. They both actively search to find me the cheapest option. My advice, get to know your Postal Workers and see if any are friendly enough to work with you.

Will they do this where you can still get tracking. I know if I send a PWE, even if it's a little thicker, they will charge me a little more for non-machinable but I do not get tracking #.
