I, for one, love lacrosse. I have to drive to Indiana or Wisconsin to watch it on NCAA level, and my Dad & I have done so. One day we plan to go to the Memorial Day NCAA weekend, where they do Div. 1 semis, then Div 3, 2, and 1 finals in a 3 day span at the same stadium.
I have very few lacrosse cards, so I guess they aren't my PC.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'd love to add a Henderson RC to my collection of his cards! My best RC's from "around" that year would be Ozzie Smith, Ryne Sandberg and Don Mattingly. A Rickey RC would be nice to have. I'd rather trade for one, but a purchase isn't out of the question.

I have some of nearly everything in my collection. I mean everything. From all sports, to non-sports. Benchwarmers, and Playboy cards are something I've been into heavy recently. With a few Babe Ruths, Ichiros, and a couple Jeters so I don't loose sight of sports.
I'd break it down more, but my time is limited lately, usually 2 to 3 players per sport make up my PC. Non-sports usually more set based, or runs of promos.

Detroit Tigers......period. I don't keep dupes of Tigers. My want list has about 1000 non-Tigers cards, but those are just trying to clean up some base sets I have so close to completion that might as well finish them.
That is my "PC". I like the notion of the "BC" Bonus Collection, but I prefer to think of it as a "TC" or Trade Collection.

Wow how did I miss this thread a couple of days ago?
My take I was first introduced to the term "PC" as what most have said "Personal Collection". For me it means cards in your overall collection that you would never ever consider getting rid of. On trading forums it was used along with NFT (Not For Trade), NFS (Not For Sale) or the combination NFT/S. At one time most people seemed to indicate if cards they had recently acquired were for trade or not. If no designation was made in a mail-day post it was assumed a trade or sale was a possiblity. Marking cards as "PC" or "part of my PC" is a little easier than NFT in my opinion and also can't be misspelled as NFL LOL.
Then I started hearing it used for "Player Collection" of collectors who only Super Collect one player, or sometimes a few other players.
I dont' officiallly "Super Collect" players even though there are a few I sort of do that for. I am mostly a DC Sports, Non-Sport and Vintage (PRe-1980 along with the semi vintage 1980s) Collector. I am also a combination Team/Player collector.
-------------------------------
I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

If it doesn't have creases anywhere near the middle of the card, I am interested. I hate creased cards! I don't mind rounded corners, chipped edges or off-center for cards nearly as old as me. I still don't have most of my traders listed on here yet to make a trade, esp. NHL/MLB cards. Most of my NHL cards are late-80's to mid-90's, probably all of them are in that range. My Racing, Football, and non-sports are completely list though. I think! LMK if we can work something out.

When I see PC I think "Player Collector" because I only collect 5-6 players (other than Korean baseball).
I'd think every card someone ones is in their personal collection so I wouldnt use PC for that.

"Personal collection" itself has different meanings for different people so I choose to not use the term at all. If I want to trade it, it's on the fs/t list. I won't say I'll never trade a card listed in my "collection". Once I did it because it was easily re-aquired. If the offer is good enough, anything is available. This may be easier for me because my collection is not terribly large in comparison.
So because of this confusion, you can't assume people will know what you mean when when say "PC". Instead of PC I have favorite players on my profile. I don't want every card of them but I may want one that is not on my want list.
