I have a few hundred sports programs and was wondering how to best store them. My oldest one is 1904 and my most recent is two weeks old. All programs go in acid free bags with acid free cardboard backers. Everything older than 10 years goes into a rigid plastic protector. I have them all on a bookshelf but that space needs to be used for books and I wanted to pack them up in boxes while displaying a few of my favorites. The problem seems to be finding boxes that will fit my rigid protectors. The best thing seems to be getting the ones sized for LIFE magazine but then there's a few inches of room for them to slide around. Any suggestions?

I know my dad has quite the collection of old game programs and magazines. What he uses are plastic sheets that would fit a three-ring binder and then stores them in a small, two level filing cabinet. Not sure how much room you have or if the magazines would fit in there (or if you even want to lock them away at all; I can certainly appreciate displaying them, as they are meant to be enjoyed), but that's the only example I've ever seen.

Maybe a comic book box?  You should check the BCW website and see if they might have something you are looking for.

I collect Beckett Magazines and store them in magazine bags with backboards. I store them in copy paper boxes like I do my card binders.  I also use Ultra-Pro Platinum 1-pocket pages for storing thinner items that I'd like to place in binders.   

I can find boxes to fit magazines that are bagged but nothing a little wider to accommodate rigid plastic protectors. I have some programs over 100 years old and I'd like the extra protection but also the convenience of box storage.

You may have to repurpose a box not specifically for magazines to suit your needs.
