I'm not a set builder, but I have constructed one set and it is a favorite of mine; 1969 Topps Deckle Edge. I began the collection by trading for a few cards from redlegs_baseball. It continued in deals with tsch67, Kaline6, pdawg68, trading4vintage, and was completed with a final deal with gwhy11. Sandwiched between those deals was a purchase.
It's my favorite for several reasons - 1. it includes a '60s Willie Mays card (my all-time favorite baseball player), 2. it has great photography, albeit with brushed off logos, and 3. it has a unique design.
I've considered collecting another set like maybe either the '72 or '75 Topps in baseball, or any of the '60s Philadelphia sets in football, but right now I'll limit it to small sets, however, nothing has really caught my eye just yet, although the '74 Topps Deckle Edge has crept into my thoughts. I have none right now.
