I've been out of the game for a long time, what brands do you guys consider best for these?

I don't use toploaders or sleeves other than for shipping. Ultra Pro or BCW should do the trick for either.
For boxes, BCW is pretty much the standard. BCW Shoe Boxes and Super Shoe Boxes hold toploaders, most of the other BCW boxes only hold sleeved and unsleeved cards.
I personally have my whole collection in BCW 3200 count full lid boxes.

Ultra Pro for sleeves.. The only box I have is BCW but it's empty and I'm considering selling it or doing a deal of fill the box for $50.

I know your Post title didn't include pocket sheets, but...
With Ultra Pro sheets I recommend getting the Platinum, not the Silver.

I ONLY buy Ultra Pro products for pages, sleeves, toploaders and hard plastic cases. All the boxes (cardboard or plastic) that I have/use are old ones. Many come from massive trades and I just re-use them. I can't remember the last time I bought any boxes for card storage, but the consensus seems to be BCW for those.

I don't use boxes. They can get ruined by water. Wanna hear something I use? Being a Marine Corps veteran, i use old ammunition crates. They are metal and sturdy as hell. They come in many sizes depending on the size of the ammo. My favorites are the 50Cal size. Can fit well over 100 cards in top loaders in one.

I know its already been said but I'll throw in my two-cents. BCW for boxes and Ultra Pro for anything and everything plastic. I concur with kcjays - sheets must be Ultra Pro Platinum - nothing else will do.

I found out that the new Ultra Pro Platinum sleeves are not as tight as they used to be. They do not fit in the 9 pocket pages. There is a new manufacturer Ultimate Guard and they are making sleeves too. They are a little bit tighter so a perfect fit for the average cards and pockets.

They made sleeves and pages a bit "looser" so they can fit thicker cards.
