That's my point, though, Dan. It's not any different, yet we treat it differently. Just because there are other cards with different, non-jersey numbers doesn't change the fact that there are many cards with jersey numbers. By the argument you, Chuck and Bruno are using, those cards do not have a number. I'm not actually arguing that those should be changed- I'm arguing that the team cards, which use jersey numbers, should be listed by number, ignoring the fact that there are going to be numbers not used. I'm saying it would be insane to do that to the Topps sets or the set you link, yet it's exactly what we are doing with the team sets. We are ignoring what's printed on the card to make up whatever...just like Beckett. They've never cared about being true to the cards, and now we aren't either.
As for the partially scratched card, I'd post them. It's not really any different from a lower grade older card, which we have, and they are probably fairly rare to not have scans yet for an 80s card, so finding a better copy to scan might not be very easy. An unscratched version could always be overwritten over the partially scratched someday as well. I have a few cards that are in bad enough shape that I chose not to post them, but they are not rare cards by any means, and somebody will surely come along and post a scan of a better copy. In fact, I know of at least one case where that happened already, and I've since upgraded anyway.
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
