My half year check in well I can finally say that I have made it right with pretty much everybody who was willing to give me a chance I have traded 163 times some with the same person and new people I plan on keeping it going on this account I'm almost at 100% :)

I'm not sure I even posted a goal this year. Still working on the one from previous years.

First off, main goal is not to go broke, while still adding cards I want/need. So far, have crossed off a couple Mike Tysons, and today I just got in the last 2 Walking Dead promos I have been after for going on 5 years. Recently finished up Bonds '86 cards (minus the Topps Tiffany), and got a graded OJ rookie I was very pleased with. The 2nd year OJ is proving a challenge, for what I am willing to spend. Bonds '87 cards are a bit higher than what I figured they should be. '64 Rose, '82 Hulk Hogan, and '86 Panini Mike Tyson sticker still seem out of range. Gonna have to put the brakes on some things in order to finally cross those off.

Like to be able to pull everything out of storage, and sort it all. Heck obtaining enough room to do it has to come first.

New to this thread I picked up 3 more of my 1909-1911 T206 card and my goal was 5 which means I only need 52 more to complete the base set ( there are 8 cards in this set that collectors do not count as the base set for they are super short printed) 

and for this site

1. hit 100 trades by 12-31-18 and I think I might hit that goal

2. try to finish uploading scans of my cards into the data base. I dont know how many I have done but I think somewhere in the 1,000 mark and I still have about 17,000 cards in my personal collection to go through and update scans where needed.

3, have fun fun fun 

4 doubt I will get to this one but upload my football cards I have for trade. Although I have been selling quite a few on e-bay and giving the buyers extra cards. of the player or the team, I use these funds to buy ny T206 cards what I dont sell I will be posting them here after my baseball scanning is complete

Sadly, not much has happened with my list of goals. But I was in a baseball state-of-mind when I posted those b/c I was adding all of my MLB traders at the time. I got that completed and did a bunch of trades and am still working on some. I did complete one of the MLB sets and the NFL set is only 1 short now. I know what NASCAR set I was thinking of for completion (no closer), but there are 2 more that I didn't think of at the time. They are both small sets of about 30 cards but no progress made on those either.

* Very close to 1300 JJ cards now, so 1500 doesn't seem like it will happen in 2018 (but still possible).

* Not much done with vintage cards of those 3 STL players (just one Gibson vintage card added), but I have obtained many vintage STL cards including getting a new oldest Cardinals card (1959).

* I still haven't acquired an AU of Newton or Kuechly either.

BUT, I haven't been buying many cards this year, mostly just trading. I DID top 5K STL Cardinals cards and 2K Carolina Panthers cards though! Several more individual-athlete PC's hit the 100-card or 200-card mark this year so far too. I also got all of my MLB cards scanned here a few months ago. But I need to re-do that as I have acquired many more that need scans here now.

I have traded for and/or traded away cards from: MLB, NFL, NBA, NASCAR and Wrestling. I also got about half of my NBA traders listed on here before I had to take a break from that.

NEW GOALS for the rest of 2018:

* Finish adding my entire NBA collection on here

* Add my entire NHL collection on here (all are traders)

* Get MLB scans needed back to ZERO

* Get NFL scans needed down to less than 100

* Make ANY progress on the goals from my previous list

Here are the big dreams:

So far, so good...I think I will be able to pull it off this year. And then I don't think I will do it again, it's a lot of work, and I suspect by the end of the year it's going to feel like a chore and not a fun project, but you never know. 

My unstated goal of getting at least ten posts up on Cardboard History per month is also likely going to happen. Although I've only published four posts in June, I have five scheduled to go over the next five days, and I hit a major milestone this past week and didn't realize it until tonight, so that will be getting a post as well.

Mid year resuls...

1) on pace to hit 46,000 by years end, over 45,500 at this point.

2) Have not done a thing with these.

3) Scanning year by year and uploading, but progress is slow.

ive been all over the place and in one sense, haven't bought as much as the items i wanted, and in other cases bought too much of the items i didn't need to buy.. so time to regather my process and probably start off loading a lot and focus on my Eli collection, Bowman Auto's and select few of rookies any era

My 2018 goals are to continue pecking away at my Upper Deck and O Pee Chee hockey card collection.  I have been able to complete a number of sets this year:

• 2017/18 Upper Deck (Series 1, 2, & update)
• 2011/12 Upper Deck (Series 1 & 2)
• 2004/05 Upper Deck Base
• 2015/16 OPC (Base, Legend & Rookie SPs, & Update)
• 2014/15 OPC (Base, Legend & Rookie SPs, & Update)
• 2012/13 OPC Base
• 2011/12 OPC (Base, Legend & Rookie SPs)
• 2009/10 OPC Update
• 2003/04 OPC (Base, Update, & Checklists)
• 1990/91 ProSet

I created a new goal during the year after picking up the complete 1990/91 ProSet 705 card set for $5.  With over 100 corrections, errors, and variations with the inaugural ProSet hockey issue, I am attempting to collect all of them.  Figured it would give me an inexpensive goal to keep me distracted and keep costs down.

Still need to start selling my dups.  keep putting it off.  would be nice to have some cash inflow for change to help fund the hobby

I never did publish my list for 2018, but I'm very pleased with what I've accomplished so far:

Finished all Topps Pro Debut sets 2010-2017. I bought a box of 2018 and am looking to finish it and a couple small subsets. I wish there were more people here interested in these and willing to trade.

Finished all my West Michigan Whitecaps team sets back to 1994. I still need to get to a game since the 2018 set is out now, they weren't available when I was at some early season games.

I put some major dents into my older Tigers and Lions team sets.  I'd like to focus on the mid 1960's Philadelphia brand Lions cards.

I'd like to finish the Topps Series 2 set and the '83 and Salute subsets.  Once I get it all entered, I hope I can finish through trades.

I'll work on the 2018 Update set when it comes out in October.

I'd like to get a few more of the 2002 Topps Update SP cards that I need to finish that set - only 23 to go!

Lastly, I'd like to reach 10,000 points here and get to Level 8.

I'm really looking forward to attending the baseball HOF Induction Ceremony next month and I hope to meet a member or two that weekend.  It will be so amazing to see Trammell and Morris get inducted.
