Oh yeah, another note on my pics from the other post:
The round thing with the Cardinals logo on it that's in the bag is a cookie from Busch Stadium during the 2006 World Series that my Aunt brought to me. The other framed item in the pic is my 8x10 Ozzie Smith AU'd photo and was my avatar here until I changed it this month. That Ozzie AU'd pic has been my avatar on here since I joined and my profile picture on Beckett since I got it many years ago. I switched both to my new avatar about a week ago!
It was just time for a change.

Piling on to the goals for 2018 are
Move both my 1957 and 1961 Sets from 80% to 90% complete (those SP commons are hard to find in good condition for a reasonable price).
Increase my 2015 A&G Buybacks from 400 cards to 600 cards (thanks to trades here and deals on COMC i made great progress this year), always looking for these if anyone has them squirrelled away and dont know how to catalog them!
Finally complete the 2015 and 2016 Stadium Club sets
Push forward all of mini sets
Complete another 100 trades here on TCDB like i did in 2017.
Figure out if there is anything besides the 2018 A&G set i want to collect in next years offerings (since GQ stopped inserting minis in 2017)
World peace or world domination, its a coin toss right now!

I didn't know GQ dropped minis. That's a shame.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

I don't really look at minis as a variation/parallel because the size is different.

At least I can identify a mini on sight. Not like trying to figure out Topps High Tek backgrounds, or photo variations that you're not aware of.

Thumbs up to this reply! Not every set needs a mini variation/parallel and then variations of the variation/parallel. Just like every set doesn't need 15 different colors of borders, foil, coatings or different SN's for the same card.

I never had goals for my collection. I just buy what I like. And hope to pick up something new for my player collection.

My first goal for 2018 is to get the "collecting goals" thread posted in the General forum instead of its usual place in a Topps Baseball forum.
