I'm seriously considering turning off my tradelist and possibly deleting it and starting over. I I trusted the system where, if people did it right, the cards would automatically leave my tradelist and join their collection, but it seems most people didn't do it right (possibly including me, but considering how OCD I am, not likely) and every single trade lately has requested a card or more than one card that went out in trade already to somebody else.
I'm thinking I may turn it off for now, and eventually, when I finish my scanning project, recreating it from scratch.
That would stink because I've gotten some really great stuff in trade, and I've not got my tradelist documented anywhere else- only here. I may lose all that work because people can't bother to do it right, and I'm more than a little frustrated right now. I have no idea when I would get around to recreating it. It's tedious and not very much fun, so I don't know when I would get back to it...there'd also be the annoyance of having to do the same work over again.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. My policy almost from the start due to this situation is before i accept a trade offer from someone else I pull the cards to make sure i have them. That way i can counter if there is a mistake. It doesnt retract from the situation. Mostly people offer trades to me rather than the other way around. If i offer a trade though and it is accepted i always feel bad when I have to let someone know that one of the cards isnt available anymore. Sure i could pull the cards before sending out the offer but it really stinks when someone is totally not interested in what you offered. I only made that mistake once. I feel bad when i burn other people in that situation too. My biggest mistake on here was going out and trying to add lots of my favorite teams cards to my wantlist because some of those cards are just out of my range. i am not going to go after 1 of 1s or super expensive inserts. So i have began removing some cards from my wantlist but that is not fun.

Guilty as charged. Gimme a break... It was my first trade here. LOL It took me a couple weeks to realize I never gave you feed back.

I should probably start doing that. But I sometimes can't get into my trade stash for a few days, so I would not want somebody to think that I was ignoring them when I was on the forum, posting scans, etc. It doesn't help that I need physical help to get into my trade stash most of the time...
Not you Xanadude. the card today went out in a trade long before you joined here.

I seem to get that happening more often too. Seems like both parties involved have issues more often now but I’m easy to work with and so are most people here. I’ll pull a card from my own collection most of the time unless it’s something of value. I can usually offer up something of similar value they need. I feel at times I need to take a siesta and get organized again but I’ll never delete and start over. Too much blood sweat and tears.

I've done several large trade recently and in each one I didn't have cards that the other person wanted because they were part of earlier trades. I've also recently received cards that when I went to put them in binders I found I already had the card....again from an earlier trade. I've decided I've got to take trades a little slower and double check everton before I agree to a trade and again once the trade is complete. That's kind of time consuming when you have multiple large trades happening at the same time.
Still....the trade feature on this site and all my trade partners have been awesome.

I don’t even have a trade list. I’m not really an active trader because honestly I’m a little paranoid giving out my info unless I feel like I can really trust someone. Other than one other trade, all my trades have been with you Billy. I don’t have much of a trade box anyways so I just usually look to see if I have something you might want.

What would the solution be, to the problems you guys speak of? I guess I don't fully understand what is being done wrong, and I want to be sure I don't do the same if I were to start trading again.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Many people tend to skip the "Package Received" step before marking the "Trade Completed". When that happens, the cards don't transfer from one collection to the other. It can be done manually, but totally defeats the purpose of having the transfer feature.
Billy, I think it would be much less work to "re-trace your steps" than deleting everything FT. Going back through your trades one at a time and checking your digital collection to see what matches and what's missing seems like less work to me. JMO though.
