Panini Prizm has been one of my favorite NBA releases recently, so naturally I was excited for the December 1st release date.  Due to the high price of the release, I have never purchased a hobby box of it before and I rely on retail to add some of the set to my collection.

However, I went to 3 different Targets near me this past weekend and a Wal Mart by my work during the week and there wasn't a pack or blaster in sight.  I am pretty sure the 1st Target I went to had some on release date, but by the time I got there that night the entire row of rack packs was cleaned out.  

I know Prizm is hard to come by normally, but I have never had an issue finding rack packs before.  Is there some sort of super short supply of Prizm this year?

My local card shop even decided not order any boxes due to the price and just did a group break with one box.  I am not really a fan of group breaks so I didn't join.  

I usually have a weekly Target run for things with my wife on Friday nights so hopefully they will have some next time.  

While not specific to this product I have noticed something about WalMart and Target. Depending on the area or even stores within that area there can be a lag between product release date and when it actually shows up in the stores. For example, I have 3 Walmarts nearby and none of the 3 released Stadium CluB or Bowman Platinum on the release date. One store went over a month before they finally put it on the shelves.
