Since there is no section on "Irony", I am posting here.
There is a guy in Canada, goes by the name of Ranford or something, who rooted for the Oilers all his life. This is supposed to be the Oilers year. Then there is a guy named Billy in New York who just started watching hockey and decides to root for Vegas.
Whose team do you think is ahead in the standings? I can't stop laughing.

At least it wasn't a cruel irony, or maybe it was.

I think the rest of us would complain if a hockey game killed you, Billy.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

You won’t have to worry about my Caps in the Stanley Cup Finals, I’d like to see them get past the second round first.

The stress and the inevitable heartbreak of one of my two favorite teams crushing the other, ugh. Nasty stuff. Being a Nets fan in the NBA it's not something I need to worry about. If they even make the playoffs it's a surprise. I've only watched 3 Nets games this year. They traded my favorite player in the off-season, now they cut the player who moved up into favorite on the team, even though he holds the team record for highest scoring game as a Net. Just so frustrating. Brook Lopez and Sean Kilpatrick respectively.
At least the Capitols have an all time legend in Ovechkin and a hope.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Well, I also think it is ironic that my Sabres allegedly tanked a few seasons so that they can build a team in 2017-2018 that could be......the worst in the league and I believe worse than the year they were allegedly tanking. Great. Oh well, let's go Buffalo!!! Maybe there is a 15 game win streak in the future!

They’ve had their fair share of chances, winning the President’s Trophy 3 times and losing in the 1st, 2nd, and 2nd rounds respectively. I have hope, but I also have a sense of reality. The Nets sounds like the Orioles during the 2000’s, have a few good players, trade them away, draft some promising prospects and they fizzle out.

Not a huge hockey fan, but being from Chicago has worked out pretty well for me. Living in DC, I’m afraid the ornery part of me loves watching the Caps tank in the playoffs Every. Single. Year. Almost as much fun as watching the Washington football team fall apart.
But I digress. I mother in law lives in Vegas. I go there every year. Vegas is now my second favorite hockey team.
