Just a gentle reminder it is not how many cards you enter, but if they are entered correctly. There is a "crop" option, learn to use it. Ask someone if you dont know. I did not know how the first time I entered cards and since then, I had to correct the slop I entered. Don't expect others to others to correct slop because someone is in a rush to get their numbers up. Take your time and do it right. Otherwise you end up with cards with black borders that are not part of the card.

Hope you aren't referring to the Magic The Gathering cards I have been uploading images for. They all have a thick black border, front and back (a few earleir sets have white). :)

I have been a member on this site for around 2 years and I do find this site a very good tool for cards. As far as cropping. I do understand as to why the sites wants the card cropped a certain way. But I if i was to see cropping like this on ebay I would ask myself "am Iooking at the whole card or not?", so therefor I am a fan of artifical borders so I can see the whole card. Just an opinion from someone has been hobby 40 years.

And as a seller on ebay myself (and buyer), I actually scan the cards that are missing here and that I want to sell TWICE. Once for ebay with a special piece of paper behind it, in a sleeve in a top loader, and cropped to show the paper, and once for here, out of the protection and fully cropped - as Admin has requested for his site. Since it's his site, we play by his rules.
(Also in the hobby for 40 years)

He might be referring to the black borders which are also crooked as well. Washed out scans also.

I agree. If I am buying a card, I want to know I'm seeing the whole card; front and back.
If I'm using an image for referance purposes or to review before I buy a card/set, then I want a good quality scan depicting an example of the card. In this case I'm not concerned about imperfections in the actual example card in the image.
That's how I view the images on this site....examples only.

I saw a scan yesterday where half the player's name was chopped off. It wasn't from a novice member. I was annoyed.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

There's a football set that I reviewed today where each scan is uncropped....and the background is black. Also not from a novice member.
I think most of us are guilty of at least a couple sub-par scans at one point or another. I know I've uploaded a couple of "stinkers". I don't mind helping out with a crop here or there but when its a whole set it makes me think someone was just rushing through and I get a little annoyed.
