What are the Walgreens ones?  Are they the packaged individual cards or are they a collection of unopened packs?  I have a couple Walgreens nearby.  I'll need to take a look.

My daughter wanted to go to Walgreens this past weekend and I only went to see if they had the cards mentioned above. I grabbed a box and took a quick look. There was one unopened pack of 88 Donruss, a Rickie Weeks jersey card and a stack of random cards. Half were probably junk era and the rest were newer.  Nothing special except a Bryce Harper card. Just noticed it was the 2012 factory set variation which looks to sell for 15-20 on ebay so a good purchase for me.

I just did an NBA repack last week, of the 75 cards only 6 were new...but it wasn't bad. The card on the outside was a current year exclusive parallel that I didn't have any of before. One of the cards was a mem from a fairly rare set in my collection (13-14 Court Kings). One was a card from the Legends Sports Memorabilia magazine, quite a surprise. The last however was the most surprising...a base card I needed from 1996-97, my favorite season! It's literally been years since I got a card I needed from that season out of a repack. 

I do much better with NHL repacks. Since I am still so new to the sport I still need most of the cards...where as in the NBA I've already crossed the 90,000 card barrier. 

I bought a few 20pk boxes online from Target for $20 per box.  I enjoyed them as they were for the most part years of cards I don't really have (which is pretty much anything 1995 and after).  I'd buy more if I could find them. - Mark

At our Dollarama they have 80 bb cards for $3 cdn, so I grabbed 2. Here is a quick breakdown:

2 insignificant inserts

22 83-87 T,F,D (85T F Robby)

81 88-94 Junk (4 HOF, 90 UD Cal Jr.)

55 95-12 All brands, base sets to decent, (B, BChrome, many other sets I hadn't opened. 7 HOF, 10 Fut. HOF)

A few rookies in all groups, nothing major. All in all not bad for less than a slice of pizza!

The baseball ones at Walgreen's are 100 cards plus a pack for $4.99. The pack is usually worth maybe a dollar, but I have pulled Bryce Harper RCs from these sets. I buy as much as I can.

Well, I was ready to rant about today's repack purchase from Walgreens and state that the only good card I got for my $5.40 was a 2012 Topps #244 Willie Mays reprint, however, it's the Gold Chrome version, and a very nice card (albeit a reprint of sorts). Price on it ranges from an Ebay Buy It Now for two other Gold Chromes at $12.00 to Comc.com having it at $13.99. So basically I came away pleased because of the Mays card.

Some disappointments were duplicates within the repack and multiple cards of different players (Pedro Guerrero) from different card companies. I also chuckled because I thought maybe I'd been had by whoever stuffed the package as I see a 1998 Pinnacle Mint Collection #8 Tony Gwynn card with a hole in it! I thought someone had taken the memorabilia from it, but then came to find that the cards were issued like that as part of the base set.

Also, you get an unopened pack in each, and mine was '90 Donruss. (Yawn. Love the cards and the design, but nothing to get me to go out and buy the repacks again.)
