Up until last year some time, I have been mailing at the USPS, one rack pack, cost was always $2.87. The they raised it $3 for one track. On several occasions, due to the clerk on duty, they have charge me $3.16, exact same package, exact same brand, same envelope. I knew postal prices on Stamps were going up a penny on January 21. So last week, I asked the clerk "what about parcels"? She said "no increase".
Well, today, that "no increase" turned into $3.50 to mail the same rack!!!. Up from either $3.00 or $3.16. They don't have a clue. And their website is totally user-unfriendly. They also changed their online tracking system around 2 weeks ago and it is much worse than the one they had, which was really good. Thanks for letting me vent.
Looks like I am done selling one rack at a time, buyers cant afford that postage.

I think they might have changed how small first class rates get quoted in the past week.
Previously, I could ship up to 13 ounces in a small bubble mailer for a flat $3. I now see a different quote for each additional ounce past 4oz.
Edit: Not sure why the clerk would have told you "no increase". The USPS announced the 2018 rate increase months ago.

I always use PayPal for postage. They have a deal so the postage is always cheaper. First class was $2.61 up to so many ounces. I don't know what it is now.

I but quite a few cards on eBay. After the last increase I started receiving a lot of delivery’s with postage due. Seemed to be no rhyme or reason to most of it. Often seemed like someone at the post office was on a power trip or having a bad day. Can’t wait to see how much extra money this change will cost me. Some sellers are good about sending me money but others ignore or are real dbags about it.

USPS has taken a new route with postage purchased online through ebay, they will bill the seller at the end of the month for any underpaid postage instead of having it due upon delivery. Wouldn't change anything if the postage was bought at the counter, but might cut down on some of those issues for you.

I was just at the PO this afternoon. It has gone from $3 to $3.50. That is a pretty significant increase, especially for somone that mailed 100 + trades last year.

Yes, 16% is a huge increase. I wish they would increase the COLA on my social security by the same percentage

FYI:
EBay and Sportlots I follow their procedure. However, as stated, I have mentioned numerous times, I use PayPal for everything else including TCDB shipments, including to Canada and anything international.

Bob,
How do you ship international with PayPal? I use it for all my shipping except international and I have a business account, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it for outside the US. You can message me if you would rather not tell me on the forum.
Thank you,
Teresa
