I actually didn't run out of candy this year (for once), but in my city they are encouraged to trick or treat before dark, so I'm still at work when they get started. I still get a lot though. It may help that I'm right around the corner from an elementary school.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I bought a 4 box lot of 1990 Fleer football for pretty cheap about 6 months ago for the sole purpose of giving away unopened packs to kids who come in with their parents to my job. It didn't cost much, and it makes their day to open up packs, even if the product is 3x as old as they are and has nothing of real value.
I also gave a ton of the 1990 Fleer packs away to kids at Halloween when they went trick or treating this last year.
