Yeah, I have no interest in LARPing anything. That's just a big waste of time/money to me. Heck, I can't even find time to watch some movies I want to see b/c I don't have enough time to focus on just the movie. I'm a multi-tasker and it's hard to do other things when watching a movie. I have about a dozen DVD's beside my TV that I need to watch and a few more on my DVR. Of the original ST movies, I've only seen ST IV (with the whales) all the way through. I do wonder if that's the next one that'll be done in the re-boot movies. I've seen every movie since 1994's Star Trek Generations.

What is Larping? (I already regret asking)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I KNEW someone would ask that. It's "Live-Action Role Playing". Kinda like war re-enactments but using fantasy characters and home-made outfits/weapons.

Weren't they in space ships? How can you reenact space travel? They must have vivid imaginations. Or, as Luke Gallows would say, they're all...NERRRRRRDDDDSSS.

All hand-to-hand battles were on some kind of planet though. But I agree, NERRRRRRRDDDDDSSSSS.
I know that South Park and Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory both did episodes about LARPing. Those were pretty funny episodes.

I'm a nerd too, but not THAT much of one. I love my cards and sports, but my next hobbies are astronomy, meteorology and gardening. Star Trek fits right in with those hobbies. That's pretty nerd-like to me, but I'm still not prancing around a park in an aluminum foil outfit with a fake sword or pretend phasers.
