Actually, just about a year ago, I had an e-mail conversation with Admin regarding What gets PIDs and so forth. In one of the responses:

• Cards that show an actor/actress portraying a real person (ex: William Bendix as Babe Ruth) - Yes
• Cards that show an actor/actress portraying a fictional character - Yes

If they get PIDs, they should get links.

Admin has also said that Team cards should not get individual player links, and I've been removing all links in them as I discover them.

Okay, just for clarification in your first example- William Bendix would get the PID and link, but not Babe Ruth correct?

Also, I didn't know that about the team cards, that's good to know for future reference.

From what I understand, both, when it's a fictional character, but maybe we need a more recent clarification. We are constantly evolving here, so what was right a year ago may have changed by now. 

On the example of Bendix portraying Ruth; Bendix should be linked not Ruth.  It's not a picture of Babe Ruth it's a picture of William Bendix.  Just imagine trying selling your "Babe Ruth" card that has a picture of William Bendix on it.

Yes, hence the reason I said it should be linked when it's a fictional character. Babe is not fictional.

I had the same conversation with Admin when Topps put the Rocky characters in the Allen & Ginter set.  He told me the same thing he told Dan.  Obviously, these are fictional characters.  But I thought the Thunderlips card should show up in my Hulk Hogan collection too. Admin agreed.
