I would like to suggest a cancel transaction option once a transaction is accepted. For example, I had a trade accepted, but later decided to withdraw, and now it is stuck in my “In Progress.”

You can put it in unfinished. I have had one there for over a year when one of our members disappeared and never sent his part of the deal.

Yes, but no way to delete it altogether.

If you are matching items you have available in your for sale/trade list to items on others wantlists is there a way of filtering for active members only? When I do this I get a lot of members who haven't been active for a year or two. If not, it would be nice to be able to add a feature to include only members who have logged on in the last 10 days or 30 days or some paramter so you are matching lists with currently active members.

I like that idea. Maybe 30 days.
I was looking at a card I need to finish a set. I thought that maybe someone had one for sale/trade. Someone did: Anonymous. Why would you list a card for sale or trade if no one can contact you?

When considering sending a trade offer, you can just click on their username to go to their profile. It shows you the date of their last site activity.
I think it would be good to have trades "disappear" after a certain period of time after being filed as unfinished. Alliwing people to cancel a trade while it's in progress could lend itself to scams.

I'm aware you can look at the profile but it would be nice and faster if I was looking for a card that it would match only active members with that card in their for sale or trade list. I have had numerous matches that when I look at their profile they haven't been on the site for 12 plus months. They are probably not going to be a trade partner.

A tool I would like to see is a "in negotiation" status. Blue is have, green trade away, pink want, and purple in transit....but when doing a trade if two members request the same item at the same time it gets dicey. A couple of times I have had offers for cards I recently traded but have not shippped yet so they still appear as "available." Maybe if possible any cards that are in negotiation of a trade can be put in a seperate list so they are removed from trading twice by accident, maybe highligted say yellow. I have started to mark completed trades as shipped to move the cards out of trade availability right away, even before I ship, to keep this from happening...but that is not true they aren't "shipped yet."

Biggest downside to this that I see is that I offer you a couple of 1988 Topps cards and used piece of chewing gum for all of the 1960 Topps cards you have for trade, until you decline it is it considered "in negotiation"? And as such, is it no longer visible to anyone else that might be interested in making you a legitimate offer?

I see your point, but I do trust that the members here are not "Blowo__" type people or "Beck___" people (and they are fewer for sure but still exist) that are looking to make ridiculous offers like this. Not mocking your point at all, just I put a great deal of trust into the members here which is why I have decided to trade and contriubute here rather than other sites I have experienced in the past.
Also, switzer1 would be all over that piece of gum.
