I old scanner after a bit of scanning would decide to give me new colors, color bled, Or on B&W photos if wearing dark clothing the black would bleed onto lighter parts of the photo. Photos of me and brother playing in snow came out as black silowettes in snow
HP was no help then I let it sit cool down and then all was good for a bit.
