Interesting. So the 1988 Topps sticker set already has all of the backs listed under an insert set named, appropriately, "Sticker Backs".
All of the fronts should be consolidated down to only the unique fronts (eliminiating the hundreds of VARs that show there)?
Makes sense to me if so.

This is a useful option for other things such as the Topps and O Pee Chee stickers / sticker back sets of the late 80s as well as the early 80s Fleer sticker sets. Right now some members addVAR for every sticker that they have with a different sticker back. This is not correct and only clutters the checklist as there can be numerous VAR for every sticker. The stickers and the sticker backs are considered 2 different sets because they can be seperated though few of us probably do separate them.
If someone wants to catalogue their collection with each VAR of each sticker, they can use this option simply adding what sticker back is with each sticker they have. These will then show up in their collection but will not appear in the database checklist.
Some of these sets have been cleaned up previously by members dedicated in making the database useful to all members and not just a personal database of their own, only to have someone else come in behind them and add VAR again. By using this option, hopefully this practice will stop.

No. If you edit details on a card in your Collection it only affects your card in your Collection.
