I do this often when trading. I wrap the row(s) in a piece of paper, just to sort of hold it all together, and that adds an extra little layer of protection.

I also tape the edges of the PWE. I had one too many get ripped open en route. It also helps stiffen the package just a little without adding thickness.

Do you remember this dudes name Sandy? Because I might’ve had the same problem where someone has cards I want or I have cards they want and I couldn’t do a trade with them because they only traded in the States.

I know exactly who he's talking about (I think) b/c I just accepted a trade from him over the weekend. If not, there's more than one member with that specific quote on their profile page.

No Dan. It is not just south of the border. It happens up here too. I think it probably has more to do with generations.
And Spaz, most likely the same person. Who else would have such a statement in his profile. I wonder, if he doesn't read other people's profiles before initiating a trade, why does he think we will read his.
Thanks everyone. I am happy to see that many have learned how to econmize the shipping across the border. I have probably made over 100 trades in business PWE. Only one got damage to a card. I know the member and if I ever have something he needs to compensate him, he will receive it gratis. He is one of the many good guys I have "met"on this site.

While we are on the topic of trade etiquette, I have wondered why some of my trade requests have just been declined without any comment. If the trade is lopsided or there are other considerations, it would be helpul to know so I can adjust. I have only had this happen a 2-3 time since using the site and have had a great overall trad experience, but was puzzled with the outright declines.

I agree. If someone has cards listed FT, they obviously want to trade them. If they don't like the offer, they could at least be courteous enough to send a PM saying why they don't want to make the trade.
I've had several that were withdrawn after they proposed the offer. I was far behind in trades then and I guess they didn't want to wait. I PM'd some of them later and did make the trades. But if it was a small trade, I just didn't bother. Most who sent offers were willing to wait their turn and then even completely alter the trade to fit our respective wantlists when I was ready to trade with them. I have 3 trades right now that need to get shipped (last one was accepted today). I'm finally to the point of ZERO in my Offers or Proposed sections. Now I can deal with trades as they come in, instead of telling them how many are in front of them!

At least if they decline them, you know they were not interested. I have had some sit as an offer for months even though the other person was actively trading. But those were trades I proposed. I actually rarely propose a trade now because of these types of "no response". Something about crossing the border I guess.

I have not had any problems with international trading, or just plain sending something overseas from USA. OK sure the shipping charges can be killer depending on how you ship. One time shipping a trade within the US I used a priority box and only half covered it with the plain brown paper to cover previous shipping info and blacked out stuff. I had to pay the Priority shipping rate since the special priority box was still visible. It was just plain lazyness on my part for not covering the box entirely since sending regular parcel post would have been about 3 bucks cheaper at the time.
