Panini owns Donruss, so knowing that I would send an email to them with the pictures you have and ask them about the card. They will know something if they don't they will point you the right direction. Sounds to me like you have one of those cards that the ERR is so minuscule that even the corrected issue has little to no information. Good Luck and I wish you the best.

I trade via Beckett only exceptions period. So if you wish to use eBay prices then please move on.

Thanks C2. I thought it might be Jimmy Key only because I know he was also in the set. Saying "Jim" left a lot of doubt. As it turns out, out of over 30 of those cards, I had a single one of the error. Loading the image next.

And yes I correctedthe Note 2 fields.
As for the third VAR, I am not so sure about it or what the VAR is. I have over 30 of those cards and none of them are any different.None ever say "WS Champions" and none say "Blue Jays Celebrate". I have to check my sets still but it may be an oddity though there are 7 members whoclaimto have one. Too bad no one ever uploaded an image.

Panini does not own Donruss. They never have. They started using the Donruss name/brand when the copyright expired. They also don't own Leaf, Score or Playoff. They just started using the brand names and set names/designs whenever the copyrights expired. On the same topic, the current Leaf company has no connection to the original Leaf brand or Donruss or Donruss Playoff. It's a completely new company using the old Leaf logo.

Interesting. I had assumed they bought Donruss out to gain all the copyrights...

I was actually wrong with my previous post. I keep forgetting that Donruss Playoff continued on after losing the MLB contract. In my mind, Donruss ended after the 2005 un-licensed MLB products. They actually continued making NFL products. In 2009, they sold everything to Panini. THAT explains the rapid rise of Panini America! Panini IS using the expired copyright of Action Packed, but only as insert sets so far. I sure would love to see Panini make Action Packed cards that look/feel like the originals from the 90's!
I am still right about the new version of Leaf though. When Donruss and Playoff merged, Leaf wasn't part of Donruss anymore. When that copyright expired, it was free for anyone to pick up and use as their own (including the logo). I'm surprised that no one is using any of the Collector's Edge names/designs yet. Those were much better than Leaf products after they merged with Donruss. I'd love to see T3 and Triumph come back into the hobby. Pacific also had awesome names and designs that are barely being used. I'd like to see Aurora come back.

I'm all-in on Action Packed. I would collect probably any sport if it was done as an Action Packed card.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
