Checklists are sorted in the order in which the items appear in the source file. If the order doesn't look right on the site, check the Excel file you used to upload the checklist. 

Sounds like the numbers are being sorted alphabetically (i.e. left to right) instead of numerically.  Therefore 100 would be before 11, 111 would be before 12, etc.  The excel file might probably have identified the entry as alphabetical due to the letters being present in the cell.

Not to disagree with Clyde -- he's been on here much longer than I have -- but I have never noticed sets sorted like he describes.  Maybe I misunderstood what he said.

Excel does not recognize a number if it is connected to a letter. Drives me insane (I have detailed records on my collection on Excel, and have since 2000),  Excel is the one computer program I actually have a good grasp on how to use, and even then I know it can do stuff I can't do (at least yet)

The key is to not sort , but to type the checklist in order. It might be a little more work if you have to create the checklist from scratch. but not enough to make it not worth the effort. And really, going up and down on the arrow key in Excel is so fast I don't even know how long it takes, a second?

 In addition to being able to edit card numbers, I'll just go ahead and request the ability to edit set names & dates.  This is mainly because of all the errors I'm making as I quickly backfill all the missing Japanese sets, and it would ultimately save the Admin my bombardment of "please fix my mistakes" emails.

I  would also like to request an "alias" option for players who go by more than one name, or who might have multiple spellings that are frequently used (loads of Japanese players whose names start with, or end with, the letter 'O', can usually be found both with and without an "H" following the "O".  That leds to lots of instances of "Takahiro Saitoh" vs "Takahiro Saito" or "Keiji Ohbiki" vs "Keiji Obiki".  There are also instances where Taiwanese players use their actual name in the CPBL, but a modified version of it in Japan, such as Dai-Kang Yang  (CPBL) vs Daikan Yoh (NPB) or Tai-Yuan Kuo (CPBL) vs Taigen Kaku (NPB).  Somewhere in the background, you've already taken care of a few of these, like Karl Rhodes vs Tuffy Rhodes.

You can drag numbers in excel, even if they're preceded by a letter.

 I was wondering if anybody else wants to this feature added. Currently you can save checklists to your computer as a PDF file.  Then you have to print them out and check the boxes using a pen or pencil.  My idea is to have the PDF files editable so you can insert a checkmark in the box on your computer.  As someone who has worked with Adobe programs for a long time this really is not too much to add.  Additionally, to add to my idea I was wondering if we can check the boxes on our computer with symbols besides a checkmark.  For instance, use a (W) if the card is on your want list or use a (circle) or (o) to mean you are missing the card.  Please feel free to respond to this idea as I think it would make all our lives a lot easier and additionally it would be healthier for the environment as we would not have to use paper for printing the checklists.

The Excel alphanumberic sorting problem workaround I sometime use is to is use decimals for letters, do a SORT, then change decimals to the letters.

Example:  enter 1, 2.1, 2.2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 5, perform a SORT, then change to letters:  1, 2a, 2b, 3, 4a, 4b, 5

 ....And I avoid excel and use the textbox entering system on the site.  I find that so much easier.  Billy, I solved my issues of turning on my computer.  lol.   I never shut it off!!
