If this is already available, I haven't come across it. Would it be possible/desirable to add an option that allowed you to use a price you enter for a card automatically apply to the cards in your collections? For the most part, I'm entering a price once at the card page, then again on my price update page, and am hoping this could be streamlined somewhat.
Thanks

I just had an idea:
Under the Biography
section on a
player's listing,
where we currently
input birthday,
place of birth,
college, etc., Can
we be able to input
First Professional
Year, or in other
words, Rookie Year?
It would be useful
information to
have. You can't go
by the actual
listings- in the
modern era players
get cards in
college and minor
leagues before they
hit the big
leagues, and as
late as 1990
players did not
always get cards
their rookie year,
sometimes having to
wait 3 or 4 years,
on a regular basis,
before getting
their first pro
cards, and that
does not even take
into account the
vintage era
players. Actually,
Panini has even
slacked a little
bit with the NBA,
as I know of
several rookies
from 2013-14 who
did not get cards
until 2014-15, and
I'm sure there are
others from other
years as well,
that's the only
season I researched
(so far). There are
also several
instances of people
getting cards in a
season but missing
it entirely due to
injury, which means
that in some cases
they have literally
hundreds of cards
issued before their
rookie season.

"First Professional Year" = "Rookie Year" is sort of slippery slope territory, especially with baseball. Are you really talking about their first year being paid to play their sport, or the first year to qualify for rookie status in their given sports' top league? Despite there being a whole level of the baseball minor leagues called "Rookie" leagues, no one in the hobby considers cards from those leagues to be anyone's rookie cards. Hockey has the same thing, though to a lesser extent, but some guys do make their way through the various minor hockey leagues to sign with an NHL team, but is anyone's CHL Topeka Scarecrows card going to be considered their rookie?
I like what I think is your intent, I just think it needs some refining.

I would say the
first year they
were in the MLB, or
NHL. (And, also,
NFL, NBA, NASCAR's
Cup series, PGA,
and whatever the
main soccer league
is- I don't know
enough about them
to know)

Are you wanting this as a means of identifying players with shared names?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I always denote any
card before their
rookie year as a
Pre-Rookie card in
all of my record
keeping. I use
these cards for
display purposes
until an official
rookie card is
released.

A few changes have been made to the Transaction Manager. You can now toggle between a "List" view and a "Details" view and propose transactions from a member's profile. The system will also generate messages for status changes. Thanks to dsorek for the feedback. More changes to come.
The category of "Food Issues" has been added for sets. This is for any oddball sets that were released with food products and was added to align with commonly used hobby terminology. Thanks to Jack Webster for the suggestion.

We may need some clarification on the "Food Issue" category. Typically a food issue concers cards that were issued WITH food (Post, Jello, Hostess, King B, etc.), not necessarily cards that were sponsored by food companies but issued as team sets at the stadium (Mother's Cookies, Keebler, Kahn's, etc.).

Thank you Admin! The changes are slick and should make it a lot easier to keep trades organized. It's good to see more people using transaction manager. Happy trading all!
